About Winter

There are so many things I might say about winter.
It’s long. It’s cold.
On darker…damper days - it feels as if there will be no end.

But then - there are mornings like this.
That sparkle and shine.
And - all I want is to hold on to this moment.
To savor.
To remember.

Winter - is also about beauty.

Altered Landscape

I could share with you the trees….
Long and lean and filled with winter’s grace.

But today - it’s the snow that’s stopped this show.
Altering the landscape….rendering her un-recognizable.

This Whisper

I could have so easily missed this.
This morning.
This moment.
This soft winter light.

I could have blinked my eyes…I could have sneezed…I could have passed it right by.

I could have so easily missed this.
This sigh.
This whisper.
This silent winter song.
