Earth Day
Spring shouldn’t have to try so hard.
To blossom. To bloom. To come forth in all her glory.
And yet - here - this spring day is looking more like this…than like that.
I couldn’t let it just pass.
In honor…in gratitude.
For this one sweet earth on which we all stand.
Morning Greeting
Because you never do know who you might meet
When walking…in the quiet solitude of the early morning.
They appeared happy to greet me…
As i greeted them from the safety of my six-foot distance.
I thought - we shouldn’t go on meeting like this.
And then - I thought again.
What a gift it is that - tomorrow - we might.
