While the snow continues to fall - here - in Vermont…
I’m reminded that there’s another universe in which others live.
Within the urban environ…I find myself - still - drawn to the natural world.
First look - these great white birds and their grand wingspans appear larger than life.
Second - they appear tiny and almost insignificant.
No matter - their beauty and grace never ceases to take my breath.
Often - I’ve wondered about what it is people are doing in this exact moment…
in a different place and space from the one that inhabits me.
How many are doing just exactly as I am…but doing it differently?
How many are doing it somewhere other than here…but doing it just the same?
This year - we experienced Thanksgiving in the South.
The air was warm. The skies were clear.
And the celebration was - simply - good fun.
I share with you - here - a few recent images from New Orleans.
I close this short practice in seeing abstracts with my favorite.
So simple…and yet so complex.
