Eight sweet…beautiful…individual faces.
Arranging themselves in near-perfect form.
Rising in the early morning.
Greeting me.
This Year
I began this season with a field of forget-me-nots.
A reminder to remember… to honor all that came before.
A promise to be present for all that lay ahead.
I close with the last of the summer’s blooms.
Three asters.
I am one of three….the mother of three…the grandmother of three beautiful grandchildren.
This year.
A reminder of this garden’s generosity in sharing her gifts of reproduction.
And to honor the new beginnings as we welcome in this new year.
L’Shanah Tovah.
To those who celebrate…and those who do not.
May it be sweet. May it be healthy. May it be abundant.
Which Head. Whose Body.
For a moment - I didn’t know which head was attached to whose body.
It made me chuckle.
They were the just right reflection for where my mumble jumble thoughts were at.
