The Quieter Color

I'm drawn - today - to the softer palette...the quieter color...the details of the landscape that too often go overlooked and un-noticed.

It rained.

Endless torrents of water fell from the sky. Thunder roared and rumbled. Lightning cracked its crooked whip. I can't remember a time when I've seen anything quite like it.

And then - the sun.

That's the thing about the rain. It's always followed by rainbows. And yes - they carried every color in the spectrum. And yes - they were beautiful.

But this - this - is what I'm drawn to.

Today.
