Last Call

They could hear the crowd chanting..begging for an encore..calling over and over for a repeat performance..asking for more.

It had been a lifetime of hard work and endless practice - dreaming and imagining what it might be to stand in front of a live audience..to be blinded by the stage lights..to be deafened by the roar of applause and cheer.

At last - it was their moment. Breathless and exhilarated they took each other's hands. They bowed deeply in appreciation and gratitude.

There would be no more encores or performances repeated. It was the last call.
