Golden Orange

In the east - the sun would soon be rising. The sky was a deep dark blue...the color of ink. The air was warm. The birds were singing. It was going to be one of those extraordinary spring days.

Up a hill..and round a corner - and there it was.

A moon so full and bright. A misty..magical golden orange. An orb suspended over the horizon. A giant orb...large enough to light my way.

I stopped. I held my breath. I cocked and pointed my camera's lens. I thought - this might be my only moment...my best moment of my entire day. And then - I thought that same thought again...and decided that - just for today - there would be no 'bests'...no 'worsts'...that they would all just 'be'. Perfectly imperfect moments.

And - so has been my day.
