I wanted to tell her....I wanted to reassure her..I wanted to promise her - that it's all unfolding just as it should....and that it will all be prefectly all right.

She will - eventually and someday - grow a coat of beautiful feathers...a crown of the most glorious red jewels. She will sing her song..dance her dance..paint her most exquisite painting. She will find her beauty...her grace...her voice. She will spread her strong wings. She will fly.

But - for today...for just now - she doesn't have to. She needs only to look..to see...to breathe...to be.

For today - is only the very first day of the rest of her life.
