It's not 'if'. It's not 'maybe'. It's only a matter of 'when'
These last autumn leaves are going to fall. They're going to scatter. They're going to blow. The trees will soon be nothing but bare.
Today - a few still remain. It's this season's final breath and burst of color.
I'm grateful. I'm lucky. I'm here.
My sweet pup's collar jingles as she walks beside me. The geese squawk loudly as they pass overhead. The squirrels rustle in and out of the brush as they gather their winter stores.
Each day is just a moment's less daylight than the last.
Like all lessons in life - I've learned.
