A sun's rise.
A winter's moon reflecting her light.
The grounding energy of the mountains.
The hope and possibility of a winter's long night.
A landscape suspended.
Awaiting its first blanket of winter white.

It's that time of year. That pregnant pause of this in-between. This moment. This now.
Looking back.....reflecting.
Looking forwards...projecting.
Choosing to what needs to be held tight...and to what needs to be let go.

To grow.
To make space.
To allow for all that awaits.

Again - I'm in search of that just right word.
That declared intention that might inform and guide this up and coming year.

Last year - I found 'Meraki'. A greek word that speaks to the love of creativity and heartfelt expression.
I did what I loved.....and loved what I did.
I 'listened'...I 'connected'....I 'allowed'.
I 'trusted'...I 'surrendered'...I 'returned' and 'repeated' and 'began' again.
And again.
And again.

As I read back - I hear only questions. No answers.
There were incomplete projects...unfinished sentences...interrupted thoughts.
This year's practice was one of living within the endless emotion and shades of grey.

For this up and coming year - I'm seeking different. A word that speaks to 'completion'.
To a beginning and an end. To a sun's rise and its set.
I'm wanting to finish those unfinished projects. I want to start others and see them thru to the end.

I'm thinking 'attainment'...'realization'...'accomplishment'....'fulfillment'.
Perhaps - the word I'm seeking is 'actualization.' Of 'self.' Of 'potential'. Of 'promises' and 'commitments'. Of all that's 'possible' and 'good'.

Yes - I think that's it.
I've found it.
My word for this up and coming new year.
