Somehow - I knew - that if I just dug a little deeper...I'd find it.
Color. Light. Beauty.
An indication...a sighting...another sign of first spring.
In the beginning - I found nothing. And then - only the slightest hint. An inkling of hope and promised possibility.
I got down on my knees and dug some more and pushed thru winter's last grasp and remains. The dried up old leaves. The dirt. The mud.
And - there it was. I uncovered just exactly what I'd come looking for.
Compassion. Joy. Love.
