I wondered - just for one day - what it might be like to walk their daily walk in their shoes?
What it is to see what they see thru their eyes?
What it could be to feel what they feel as the snow falls thick and white around them?
I wondered - what they are doing with their one extra hour?
Do they know that this time is precious?
That their days of grazing in these pastures are numbered?
That this too - shall pass?
The snow lasted for what seemed like only a few short moments.
They stopped - only for an instant - to look.
Up.
At me.
As I watched.
As I listened.
As I imagined what it might be to live in their hearts and heads.
Instead of mine.
