What is it - I wondered - about just this?
So ordinary….and so - not.
So plain…and yet - fancy.

Two people - sitting….engaged in conversation.
Two cups - about to be raised in a celebratory toast.
Two empty vessels - awaiting filling.

And then - it occurred to me.
It’s this extraordinary February light.

The sun shining thru the morning windows.
The day about to fully begin.
Anticipation without expectation.
A pause. A moment.
This.
