What is it that I'll remember...when I will someday look back and remember this winter?
Will it be only about the endless snow and frigid cold? Or - will it be about the sun that shone lightly and brightly in the in between?
Will it be about the empty void of living life? Or - will it be about the fulness of those that survive and even dare to thrive...in spite of it all?
Will it be only about the color of white? Or - will it be about the unexpected spots of color?
Somehow- I want to believe that she arrived here expecting something other than this. Knee deep in snow. No sound or sight of the rest of her tribe. Alone in the vast landscape. Perhaps she was lost...and was found by me. Perhaps she was found just exactly where she needed to be.
I'm hoping that when someday I do look back at this winter...that I remember this with fondness. Just and exactly as this was....and as it is today.
