On the eve of this Jewish New Year - I'm looking for something important to say.
Something meaningful. Something that might speak to this new beginning.
Again.
We reflect back...and look forwards. We bow our heads. We join hands and hearts.
We pray - that somehow...somewhere - a being exists that might inscribe us in a book of good health and long life.
Rosh Hashanah - always catches me unprepared. It arrives too early in the autumn season...or it arrives too late.
It arrives - when I'm not quite ready...and I'm not quite looking. And - it always arrives at the just right time.
This year - I welcome its coming here in these green mountains.
The leaves are showing their first signs of change. The air is cooling. The light burns thru the mourning.
Yesterday - it rained. Today - the sun is shining bright.
It's certainly not the first year I've been here...and done this. And yet - this year - it's different.
I'm seeing and experiencing it with clear eyes....an open mind...and a soft and gentle heart.
I have no need for so many questions.
It's all beautiful.
Life is.
I have nothing more to add...to say....to adorn this moment....this day...this season.
There is no better time than - now - to honor new beginnings.

To those who celebrate (and all of those who do not) - best wishes for a happy...healthy...sweet New Year.
L'Shana Tovah.
