The changes are soft and slow...subtle. Almost indiscernible to the in-discerning eye.
The color. The light. The taste and feel and smell and sound. It's all changing.
The mountains are quieter now. Their days are shorter...their nights longer and darker than those just passed. The light burns with a less warmth and intensity.
The brilliant summer hues are fading fast.
I love this.
I welcome it.
What might life be without?
It's half-way thru September. It's somewhere in the middle of that in-between - there and here. No longer summer....and not - yet - fully autumn.
Then and this now.
I often wonder about these cows...about this girl and that.
What does she think? What does she know? What would she say...if they could speak?
I listened. She m-o-o-o-o-o-e-d. Gentle. Soulful. Long and deep.
I love this.
I welcome it.
What might life be without?
