Beginning with the base..with the roots..with the earth solid and strong. Knees soft and bent....head dropped.
Releasing.
Feeling. Slowly. Breathing.
Rising.
One rock..one stone..one vertebrae at a time. Stacking themselves one atop another.
Aligning.
Feeling. Slowly. Breathing. Growing.
Extending.
Arms outstretch. Tail bone tucks. Shoulders soften. Toes spread themselves wide. With each stone added - elongating..expanding...growing.
Inhaling.
Feeling. Slowly. Breathing. Growing. Reaching.
Balancing.
I couldn't quite decide - is this a science?..an art?...an act of simple and mindful meditation? Ultimately - concluded that it's a well-executed mix of all three. A silent meditation in still motion. An artful balance. The finale of a well-choreographed dance.
